I'm starting my first class tomorrow and i'm starting to hear that a bartending certificate doesn't allow you to bartend, its only a piece of paper that says i took a bartending course... ?|||ones a cerificate and ones a licenses|||the certificate says you have been trained to be a bartender. The license says you are now allowed to tend bar, in whatever state or province you live in. There are possibly some requirements, like a background check, to obtain a license.
