I am considering moving to olympia from Alaska. ( WAYYY TO COLD) Olympia looks nice from what I can see. Statistics show 44k people, but what is the population really like? for example chicago shows 20k people but we all know theres about 5mil but its made up of several "towns together". also what is it like to live there? and info you have would be great........THANK YOU|||The Olympia area isn't really the most populous area. Seattle is clearly the largest metropolitan area. Tacoma and Spokane are behind that. But Olympia has more rural towns around it. It still isn't small, but doesn't really make up anything that looks like a "big" city.|||Olympia is in Thurston county. Here is some facts about the county.
