I live in Chicago,IL and I don't know how illegal or if the paintball guns are even illegal in Chicago,IL. Can someone help me out, tell me the law of paintball guns in chicago, show me some proof?|||paintballhitman is mostly right, but they are also not considereda weapon unless the tank is in, with or without paintballs, it is illegal to carry around am aired up gun. and as for the surrender rule, those are mostly just for begginer matches. u cant say that u dont want to play with the surrender rule and if EVERYONE else says ok the there is no surrender rule and u can shoot any distance. and at my place the surrender rule is for 10 feet so it must vary for every other field. but in conclusion they are legal in north america(yes even mexico) but can only be shot at designated sites or on your own property.|||they are legal no problem there but it is illegal to shoot someone off the field like a neighbor that annoys you and its illegal to shoot private property and if your walking down the street take the tank & hopper off and put it in a back pack if the police stop you tell them you have a paintball MARKER dont say gun there not considered fire arms they are considered a Marker because they mark where they hit they cant put a hole in you but can injure some one so when you play paintball and your shooting at some one ON THE FIELD make sure not to shoot within 20 feet the actual field rules are within 20 feet you must yell surrender if your opponent moves like hes gonna shoot you then shoot or get shot if your within 10 feet the first one to say surrender is the winner at point blank touch your opponent with the barrel dont fire say your out and he is out if he shoots you he is out and you win
