There is no such thing as a license for bartending. You can take classes and get a certificate. but thats a waste of money. The only place you need this is Vegas. Buts thats a whole different world. I bartend in Fl and as long as you are 18 you can serve you just cant try any of your drinks. What they might want from you and most bars in fl have this, is a food handlers certificate. Which merely takes the blame off of the bar and puts it onto you if you are caught serving an underage kid. As far as getting a job experience speaks more then anything and most places are willing to train. But if you can study ahead with bartending for dummies and ABC liquor has a nice book out there. Memorize the important ones and lie your way through it.
