Most men will drink whisky like J.D. and Coke, and remember the better the shot of alcohol you give the better the tips for the girls. You are getting 5 to 7 bucks a drink. Mix the mens drinks strong and be stingy with the alcohol in the girls drinks. They dont want to get drunk. They just want to socialize and make money. The more money the girls make the more money the bar tender and the D.J and the club makes. Good luck.|||That all depends on the crowd, particularly the age, ethnicity, and financial status of the crowd. I worked at a bar with mostly Mexican-Americans and almost all they drank was Coronas, Casadores Tequila, and whatever well-drinks were on special. Red Bull and Vodka was really popular too! However, generally popular drinks are rum (or 151) and coke, vodka cranberry (also called a "Sea Breeze"), "Screwdrivers" which is orange juice and vodka (sometimes with grenadine). "Tequilla Sunrise" (tequilla, orange juice, grenadine). Some place Martinis are more popular, particularly apple-flavored martinis, manhattans, and cosmopolitans. As a general rule, guys usually like stronger more bitter drinks and girls/women generally like sweeter drinks.|||i have been a bartender for 10 years now, long islands, lemon drops, and jack and coke|||I don't know because I never go out. I don't do anything at all. thanks for the 2 points sucker|||I worked in a dance club and all the men and us girls always ordered a drink called hot peach pies. they are not hot but you light them on fire.... in a shot glass you put peach absolut vodka and top it with a very thin layer of bacardi 151 just enough to get a flame over the top. the customer should not pic it up before blowing it out...and be prepared with a wet bar towel to catch any spills from it! its a fun drink and basically for show! it looks cool and everyone in the bar wants to know what ur drinking and then they want one too.|||Morning Fly, I'm sticking with Jessandduane. These are the generalized drinks that you'll be asked for, mostly well. Some shots, beer. If the club is frequented by women on others tabs, be prepared to have the blender going most of the night (and your recipe book out for at least that long). Guys usually know what they are ordering as soon as they walk up to you, it usually won't change throughout the night. Ladies on the other hand, usually, will wait til they get up to your well when you are at your busiest and then say "I don't know, Something different..." At that point they're getting a sex on the beach or a Washington apple. A 151 and coke is just that! The two have never been confused other than by someone who has had too many 151 and coke, and then you should cut them off! 2). Vodka & Cranberry is just that! Vodka & Cranberry. If you add a lime garnish, then it becomes a Cape Cod (codder). 3). A Bay Breeze is Vodka, Pineapple juice & Cranberry juice. 4). A Sea Breeze is Vodka, Grapefuit juice and Cranberry Juice. 5). A screwdriver has never had grenadine in it, and it never will. The drink you are talking about is a Vodka Sunrise. It's wanna be bartenders like you that give professionals a crappy name! Because you can stand behind a bar and fold bar towels and look up the latest fru-fru drink from the club that your favorite ho went to last night, is the reason you are bartending in a place that mostly serves bottled beer! POOPKACES: =========== A quick note to Poopkaces; Most states have laws against lighted drinks on bar tops. My favorite shot is French Toast which is Yukon Jack, Float Warmed Brandy, light and sprinkle with cinnamon, smells like french toast, looks like fireworks.
