I am getting my bartending license in a week ( in new York ), and a friend wants to hook me up with a job at a strip club. Do the strippers make all the tips ? Or do male bar tenders get tipped like in any other place?|||This depends on the kind of bar you're in. If you're in a club that the customers can access the bar at will, you may make more simple for service. But don't expect tips on the same scale as the dancers. The guys are there to see T&A, not you spinning a martini shaker on your head. On the other hand some clubs you will only see the dancers/shot girls who sell the drinks. In those clubs the dancers, shot girls and such will tip you out a percentage of what they made. This is to keep you making their drinks the way they like (nice and watered down) and the customer's drinks nice and strong. Here you can expect 5-10% of each girl's take. If you look great and go to a gay or go-go club, expect to make quite a bit. Especially if you're willing to tease and converse.|||You get to keep the tips that are passed over the bar to you, the cocktail servers should tip you back 3% of their sales, as you were their "Service" bartender. You will be required to tip your bar back for washing glasses, carrying ice, trash etc. usually 10% if you don't, your bar back will be lazy, let you run out of ice and glasses, thus cutting you out of making tips.|||Forget the tips. Look at the goodies of the strippers|||If its a gay strip club then shure if not then you would make cents on the dollar if that!|||Wear spandex. lol
